Alternatively, the acclaimed restaurant is offering a Black Truffle Tasting Takeaway Menu with complimentary wine pairings for those looking to spend an elegant evening at home.

Playing off the effervescent fun of Forsythia’s original French AF Philly Beer Week event in early June, and the follow-up anniversary fête FRENCH AF: Part Deux in late summer, Kearse and team are ready for round three with an over-the-top New Year’s Eve bash in the form of French disco. This time around, guests can expect a disco and dance party from 8 pm – 12:30 am, and a bevy of savory and sweet small plates served a la carte including the following:

  • Steak Frites with Bone Marrow Bordelaise Sauce ($25)
  • Oysters On The Half Shell with Coconut Sorbet ($22)
  • Escargot ($15)
  • Bahn Mi Sliders ($16)
  • Burger Royale (18) prepared with a double patty and raclette cheese
  • Black Truffle Beignets ($10)
  • Caviar Bao Buns ($100) with traditional accoutrements
  • Ricotta Beignets with Chocolate Toffee Sauce ($12)
  • Grand Marnier Crepe Soufflé ($14)

For sipping, Forsythia will offer $10 glasses of Champagne and sparkling rosé all night long in addition to a spirited craft cocktail menu, local brews, and French wines. Priced at $14 each, celebratory tipples include Apple Butter Face crafted with apple butter-infused Maker’s Mark Bourbon, spiced pear, and absinthe Rinse, Firework composed of habanero-infused vodka, lime cordial, and cucumber, and Negroni en Blanc with gin, Luxardo Bitter Bianco, and Dolin Blanc.

“We want everyone to come out and have a great time and send 2021 into the history books in debauched, delicious style,” said General Manager Jennifer Camela.

Tickets for French Disco Dance Party are available starting Friday, December 10 at noon, and can be purchased by clicking here. For $50, admission includes Champagne toast at midnight, festive party favors, and a prime spot on the dance floor. Forsythia’s bar and lounge will be open from 4 - 8 pm on Friday, December 31 with the same French Disco food and beverage offerings — minus the disco.

If watching the ball drop from the comforts of home is more one’s speed, Forsythia is preparing a sophisticated and sexy Black Truffle Tasting Takeaway Menu for New Year’s Eve, complete with a deluxe, five-course menu, complimentary wine pairing, and freshly-baked focaccia bread.
