Located in the stunning,30,000-square-foot"Circus Campus"in Mt.Airy—a converted historic church—the PSCA is inviting kids from Kindergarten through 7th grade to trade the classroom for the big top.TheirKid’s Day Off Circus Camps run from March 30 to April 3,offering a rare blend of physical intensity and creative play.
What’s on the Agenda? This isn’t your typical gym class. Campers spend their day rotating through genuine circus disciplines, including:
- Aerial Arts: Learning the ropes (and silks, and trapeze) in a 40-foot high sanctuary.
- Balance&Agility: Wire walking, rolling globe, and tumbling.
- The Classics: Juggling, plate spinning, and clowning.
Executive Director Kitsie O’Neill notes that while the"cool factor"is high, the benefits go deeper."Participants will create new friendships, learn new skills, build self-esteem, and learn teamwork too,"O'Neill says.
Built for Busy Schedules Recognizing that many parents still have to work while schools are closed, PSCA offers a level of flexibility rarely seen in day camps. The standard day runs 9:00am to 3:00pm ($95/day), but parents can opt for After Care until 6:00pm and Extended Care until 7:00pm.
Whether your child is a budding gymnast or has never touched a juggling ball in their life, all are welcome. Just pack a hearty lunch, and let the circus handle the rest.
