Manayunk Arts Festival Set to Take Over Main Street for 36th Anniversary

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Get ready for an unparalleled celebration of arts and crafts! The 36th Annual Manayunk Arts Festival, the tri-state area’s largest outdoor juried arts festival, is set to return to historic Main Street Manayunk on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 22, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This iconic Philadelphia event, organized by the Manayunk Development Corporation, will once again transform the charming riverside neighborhood into a massive open-air art gallery. The festival is expected to draw over 100,000 collectors, buyers, and art lovers to browse the work of approximately 300 talented local and nationally known artists and crafters. The event is free to attend and family-friendly.

A Rich History and Vibrant Present

Starting as a bold gamble in June of 1990, the Manayunk Arts Festival quickly proved to be a resounding success, drawing record crowds from its very first year and playing a pivotal role in the neighborhood's revitalization. Thirty-six years later, it remains a beloved tradition and the largest juried art festival in Pennsylvania.

What to Expect: A Feast for the Senses

For the festival weekend, Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic, allowing visitors to stroll freely and immerse themselves in a creative wonderland. Attendees can expect:

  • Diverse Artistic Disciplines: Juried artists will showcase their work across eight different categories: fiber, glass, ceramics, jewelry, mixed media, painting & drawing, photography, and wood & sculpture.
  • Live Art and Shopping: The festival will feature live art demonstrations, opportunities to meet the artists, and special promotions from Manayunk’s unique boutiques and shops.
  • Food and Drink: Enjoy delicious offerings from local food and drink vendors, as well as Manayunk’s renowned restaurants and bars.

Spotlight on Emerging Talent

A special and beloved feature of the festival is the Emerging Artist Program. This initiative provides a platform for local and up-and-coming artists to begin showing and selling their work in a professional setting. This year, 30 Emerging Artists will be featured in a dedicated tent on Grape Street (just off Main Street), offering a chance to discover the next generation of creative talent.

The 2025 festival proudly features the work of multimedia artist Bryane Broadie on its official poster and all marketing materials, continuing a tradition of honoring one selected artist each year.
