Community Support
The block party kicks off the Halloween season, the busiest time of year for Philly AIDS Thrift, known for its vast collection of costumes, accessories, and decorations. More importantly, the event raises crucial funds for local HIV/AIDS service organizations, including the William Way LGBT Community Center and Bebashi—Transition to Hope.
Christina Kallas-Saritsoglou, Co-Founder and executive Director of Philly AIDS Thrift, expressed her excitement about the event and gratitude for the community's support. Board President Michael Byrne echoed her sentiments, emphasizing the importance of community support and celebration.
