Drag Tea At Assembly Rooftop Lounge

PHILADELPHIA - Assembly Rooftop Lounge, the swanky ninth-floor year-round cocktail bar and lounge overlooking the Benjamin Franklin Parkway is coming in hot with another installment of sassy afternoon tea service, Drag Tea, on Sunday, July 24 from 11 am - 1 pm.

 This time around, the fabulous two-hour event will carry a 90’s theme, with queens sashaying to Barbie Girl and everything Mariah Carey. The tea service will feature fun and creative takes on the classic assorted teas, miniature sandwiches, and desserts with a side of BIG personalities as Philly’s favorite drag queens strut their stuff on Assembly Rooftop’s ninth-floor terrace. Tickets are $65/person and include a glass of Prosecco on arrival.

 

Attendees are invited to spill the tea while enjoying a selection of not your grandma's finger sandwiches from Executive Chef Sonny Ingui, including Smoked Salmon Eclair, Cucumber Heirloom Tomato Pumpernickel, Chicken Coconut Cashew Curry Salad, and more; plus, miniature desserts including Chocolate Opera, Orange Grand Marnier Profiteroles, Cherry Poppy Linzer, and more.

 

Additionally, if attendees are feeling sassy, they can indulge in Assembly’s impressive cocktail menu, including summer signatures like (Don’t) Spill the Tea with Tanqueray Rangpur, St. Germain, ginger lemon tea, fresh lemon, honey, and The Butterfly Effect, with Butterfly tea-infused Stateside Vodka, St. Germain, lemon juice, and simple syrup.
