The Silver Fur Ball at the Bellevue Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA - Morris Animal Refuge is pleased to announce the 25th installment of their annual gala, The Silver Fur Ball: 25 Years of a Life-Saving Celebration. The return of the shelter’s largest in-person fundraiser will benefit homeless, abandoned, and unwanted pets of the Greater Philadelphia region.

The Silver Fur Ball will be held at the Bellevue Philadelphia in the historic ballroom on Friday, March 25, and will kick off with a VIP cocktail hour 6 pm - 7 pm, followed by the event reception 7 – 11 pm. Tickets are available NOW and begin at $175 per person for general admission and include a 4-hour open bar, delicious fare, live music, and dancing all night long. Those looking for an extra hour of fun can enjoy all this and more – with the $195 VIP ticket.

“After celebrating last year virtually, the return of our in-person gala is just in time for the shelter’s historic 25th silver anniversary,” said Lewis Checchia, Executive Director of Morris Animal Refuge. “Morris Animal Refuge has been serving animals in the Philadelphia community since 1874, and now more than ever, our work is needed! We look forward to coming together as a (vaccinated) community in order to support our life-saving mission!”

Attendees can look forward to a glamorous evening of dancing in the elegant ballroom at the Bellevue Hotel, as well as gourmet fare and an open bar featuring signature cocktails. Entertainment will be courtesy of DJ Perry Angelozzi, and partygoers will have the opportunity to meet some of the shelter’s most adorable kittens and pups at Cuddling Stations.

Emceed by Steve Morrison of WMMR’s Preston and Steve, the event will recognize outstanding members of the Morris Animal Refuge community and provide guests the opportunity to raise money in a fun and unique ways, such as entering the 50/50 raffle, a robust silent auction, and a live-auction style Fund The Mission, where sponsor ARM & HAMMER will match all pledges up to $10,000.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards helping the homeless, abandoned, and unwanted pets of the Greater Philadelphia region and will help support one of America’s first animal welfare institutions with vital programs, including the Lifesaver Fund, the Fostering Program, and the Adoption Program.
