Following the brand’s successful debut at Liberty House in Jersey City, this new location marks a significant expansion for Maddy Rose. The restaurant aims to blend a polished, unpretentious service style with a design that honors the historic nature of The Landing while introducing a fresh, coastal-inspired energy to the town.
A Personal Approach to Waterfront Dining
According to Frank Cretella, President and Co-Founder of by Landmark, the concept is deeply personal. Named after his daughter, the brand is rooted in family and intimacy.
"New Hope has always felt like an extension of home, and Maddy Rose is meant to feel the same way, like walking into someone’s house by the water, where people gather, linger, and lose track of time," said Cretella. "That sense of intimacy made New Hope the right next chapter for the brand."
The design of the space reflects this philosophy. With an open, flowing layout, the dining room frames the Delaware River and the New Hope–Lambertville Bridge as central focal points. To ensure the space is welcoming throughout the year, bookend fireplaces ground the room, allowing guests to enjoy the waterfront ambiance even in the height of winter.
Mediterranean-Inspired Coastal Cuisine
Helmed by Head of Culinary Anthony Bucco, the menu is guided by seasonality and a Mediterranean point of view. The culinary team aims to offer refined dishes that are rooted in classic flavors but presented through a new lens.
Menu Highlights Include:
- The Raw Bar: Featuring an extensive selection of East and West Coast oysters and a signature seafood tower.
- Starters: Wagyu meatballs with whipped ricotta, tuna tartare tacos, bone marrow toast, and a luxe lobster-and-caviar roll on buttery brioche.
- Entrées: A mix of land and sea options, ranging from prime rib, steak frites, and bolognese to branzino, honey-glazed salmon, and dayboat scallops.
"Maddy Rose is about honest, inviting cooking meant to be shared, savored, and enjoyed slowly around the table," noted Bucco.
Expanding a Local Footprint
The opening of Maddy Rose at The Landing underscores by Landmark’s continued investment in the New Hope region. The group already operates several prominent local properties, including the Logan Inn, Hotel du Village, and Anzu Social.
Currently, the restaurant features 75 indoor dining seats and 40 bar seats. A second phase of renovation is planned to unlock the outdoor potential of the property, adding approximately 100 additional seats for al fresco dining in the future.
