Open for takeout on Super Bowl Sunday,February 13th between 12 and 5 p.m.,Kalaya’s Super Bowl menu includes a family-sized Moo Hong Bánh Mì($85)on a three-foot Amoroso Bakery roll,complete with hand-pulled Moo Hong pork,cucumber,Thai long hot,jalapeno,shredded carrot,onion,cilantro,basil,and cilantro spicy mayo.The sandwich feeds 8-10 people.There will also be a 1.5-foot Vegan Bánh Mì($35)with smoked coriander sweet potato in place of the pulled pork,vegan curry mayo,and with the same toppings as the three-footer.There’s also a Kaeng Pu Crab Roll($32)with Kalaya's famous lump crab, Chinese celery, long hot, onion, cilantro, and curry mayo on a special Amoroso curry bun.
Additionally, Kalaya will sell Kaeng Pu Crab Roll kits with a pack of special Amoroso curry rolls, a pint of crab salad, and veggies.
Pickups will be made available just down the block at Kalaya Thai Market at 922 S. 9th Street. There will be a limited number of three-foot bánh mi sandwiches available.
