This new venture brings the nationally recognized flavors of El Chingón to a relaxed,open-air setting perfect for summer.The space will feature a sunny yellow,teal,and gray decor,communal picnic tables,and shaded two-tops,with guests ordering from a convenient service window.
"I'm excited to expand El Chingón to a second location, and Fishtown's vibrant community is the ideal location,"said Chef Aparicio."We've always had fans in the neighborhood who ordered delivery from South Philly. Now, they can walk down the block and enjoy our cuisine fresh from the grill in a fun outdoor setting."
Fans can expect a"greatest hits"menu featuring signature cemitas,such as Al Pastor and Birria,a variety of tacos ranging from Quesabirrias to vegan-friendly Hongos al Ajillo,and flavor-packed starters like street-styleElote. Chef Aparicio's renowned Sourdough Flour Tortilla Programwill also be a feature.
Later in the season,the Fishtown location plans to roll out "Jardin de Agave" pop-ups featuring craft spirits from Bluebird Distilling, as well as brunch service and DJ nights. El Chingón Fishtown's opening hours will be Wednesday through Thursday from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Friday from 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM, and Saturday through Sunday from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
