In honor of the upcoming Free Speech Week, the museum will present its first-ever Flame Award to Nadine Strossen, the first woman president of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). Strossen will participate in a fireside chat with Alaine Arnott, the museum's president, to discuss her significant contributions to free speech. The Flame Award recognizes individuals who embody the ideals of freedom of thought, civil discourse, and respect for all.
Guests at the Gala will enjoy a culinary experience curated by some of the city and nation's top chefs, including Nicholas Elmi of Lark, Chris Kearse of Forsythia, Michael Vincent Ferreri of Irwin’s, Cristina Martinez of South Philly Barbacoa, and Amanda Shulman and Alex Kemp of Her Place Supper Club, My Loup, and Amourette.
The 2024 Gala will be held at the Pump House, a scenic venue located along the Schuylkill River in Bala Cynwyd. With its outdoor gardens and riverfront paths, the Pump House offers a picturesque setting for this momentous occasion.
The National Liberty Museum's 25th Anniversary Liberty Gala promises to be an unforgettable evening celebrating the champions of freedom and justice.
