Guru's Indian Cuisine Under New Ownership, Returns to Meat Options and Welcomes Samarth Joshi
Under Joshi's leadership, one significant change will be reintroducing meat options. This decision follows a recent experiment with a fully vegetarian menu, which, while driven by admirable ethical concerns, resulted in a substantial drop in revenue.
"We are thrilled to pass the torch to our nephew, Samarth," said Baba and Priya. "He brings a fresh perspective and energy to the business." Joshi, originally from Gujarat, India, has been working alongside his aunt and uncle at Guru's for the past year, gaining valuable experience in the restaurant industry.
Joshi plans to revitalize the establishment, focusing on the bar program, introducing a Bollywood-themed happy hour and hosting a complimentary "Meet the New Guy" happy hour on August 22nd from 5 to 7 pm.
While meat will return to the menu, Guru's will continue honoring its commitment to animal welfare and ethical sourcing. A portion of profits will still be donated to Guru's Guardian Angels, a non-profit organization founded by Baba and Priya, dedicated to rescuing and sheltering stray animals globally.
"We are excited about the future of Guru's Indian Cuisine under Samarth's leadership," Baba and Priya expressed. "He is passionate about Indian cuisine and dedicated to providing our customers with an exceptional dining experience."
Customers can look forward to a revitalized Guru's, offering a diverse menu of traditional Indian dishes, Indo-Chinese fusion, and Mexican-inspired creations. The restaurant's commitment to quality and community remains unwavering as it enters this new phase under Joshi's guidance.
