American Fare with a Philly Twist
Eleven Social promises to deliver delicious American cuisine, likely with a signature Philly flair that reflects Rollins's deep connection to the city. The restaurant will occupy the former space of 2nd Story Brewing Co., offering a spacious, multi-floor dining experience. DeLima hints at creating distinct atmospheres on each floor, catering to casual get-togethers and more upscale dining.
"It will be a good place for a social gathering with good food," says DeLima, highlighting the welcoming and vibrant ambiance they aim to create.
A Passion Project for J-Roll
Rollins, known affectionately as "J-Roll," has long wanted to maintain strong ties to Philadelphia after his stellar baseball career. Opening Eleven Social marks a significant step in fulfilling this goal. The restaurant's name is a subtle nod to the iconic number 11 jersey Rollins wore throughout his time with the Phillies.
"I reached out to Jimmy to see if he'd be interested in having a restaurant, and he said we should open one in Philly, [even though] I've never lived outside of California," explained DeLima.
Elevating the Old City Dining Scene
Eleven Social joins the bustling dining scene of Old City, a neighborhood celebrated for its historical charm and mix of trendy eateries and boutiques. The restaurant's addition promises to attract die-hard Phillies fans and food enthusiasts seeking a unique dining experience.
Rollins and DeLima anticipate opening Eleven Social in June or July of 2024. Stay tuned for updates on the official opening date, menu reveals, and the opportunity to savor a taste of J-Roll's new winning venture.
