Stratus Rooftop Lounge Celebrates Women-Owned Businesses

PHIADELPHIA -  Stratus Rooftop Lounge at Kimpton Hotel Monaco and Sisterly Love Collective are partnering for the second year to present Women's Way Wednesdays, a series of weekly events celebrating women-owned and operated businesses in Philadelphia's culinary and beverage scene.

Taking place every Wednesday in March from 5:30 to 8 PM, the series kicks off on March 6th and features a different female chef each week, showcasing their culinary talents through thoughtfully curated small bites. Alongside the delicious food, attendees can enjoy live music, craft cocktails, local beers, and wines.

The lineup features prominent Philadelphia chefs, including:

  • March 6th: Chefs Melissa McGrath (Sweet Amalia Market) and Liz Grothe (Couch Cafe)
  • March 13th: Chefs Sashia Liriano (Saviñon) and Diana Widjojo (Rice & Sambal)
  • March 20th: Chefs Cybille St. Aude-Tate (Honeysuckle Provisions) and Maria Hernandez (Autana)

The final event on March 27th transforms into a collaborative cocktail party led by Sisterly Love Collective. Guests can expect an array of small bites from a diverse range of female culinary talents and beer and wine tastings featuring women-owned breweries and wineries.

Profits from ticket sales benefit both Women's Way, a leading Philadelphia non-profit dedicated to women's and girls' advancement, and Sisterly Love Collective, an organization empowering women in the food and hospitality industry. Additionally, $1 from every featured wine on Stratus Rooftop Lounge's Women's Way Wednesdays menu and Red Owl Tavern's Women in Wine menu will be donated to Sisterly Love Collective.

"We are thrilled to be hosting Women's Way Wednesdays again," said Erik Travers, Director of Restaurants, Bars and Events for Kimpton Hotel Monaco. "Celebrating the incredible women in Philadelphia's hospitality scene while supporting two important community organizations is a fantastic opportunity."

Tickets are available for purchase online, with individual events priced at $35 (including food and one drink) and the finale priced at $75 (all-inclusive). Attendees can also purchase an all-access pass for the entire series.

This event series celebrates women's culinary talents and raises awareness and support for organizations working towards gender and racial equity in Philadelphia.
