The Mystery:A Murder Among the Menagerie
This year's mystery is set back in 1874, just as America's first Zoo was preparing to open its gates.A"very Victorian murder"has occurred among the menagerie and marble!Guests will step back in time to an age of steam and soot,tasked with inspecting the scene of the crime,sifting through cryptic clues,and encountering suspicious characters lurking among the flora and fauna.It's an immersive historical scavenger hunt with a murderous twist.
"We are always looking for unique ways to connect people with the Philadelphia Zoo, and this event is the perfect way for the 21+ crowd to experience the Zoo with a twist," said Patrick McMaster, the Zoo's Vice President of Marketing and Communication."Last year's event was a huge success, so this year we've upped the ante."
An Evening of Fun&Intrigue
The main entrance opens at 5:30 PM,with the mystery promptly beginning at 6:00 PM and winners announced at 8:30 PM.Throughout the evening,select concession stands will be open for food and beverage purchases,allowing guests to grab a drink and a bite while they solve the crime.The grand prize includes a private tour of the historic Solitude building,theater tickets,and a behind-the-scenes experience at the Zoo.
