Spocktoberfest: A Sci-Fi Extravaganza
We are calling all Trekkies and fans of all fandoms! Roxborough's inaugural Oktoberfest will beam down to DuPont Street. It will feature a Star Trek-themed vendor marketplace, fan clubs, and a cosplay costume contest. The Roddenberries, a renowned sci-fi party band, will provide out-of-this-world entertainment.
Scarecrow Walk & Build
Friends of Gorgas Park are bringing back their scarecrow-making event, and it's connecting with Roxtoberfest this year. Stroll along the Scarecrow Walk, admire the creative creations, and cast your vote for the best scarecrow.
Traditional Roxtoberfest Fun
Of course, the classic Roxtoberfest elements will still be in full swing. Enjoy live music on multiple stages, sample local brews from New Ridge Brewing Co., browse over 100 vendors, indulge in delicious food truck fare, and participate in the Oktoberfest, beer stein holding, and pet costume contests.
Family-Friendly Activities
The Roxborough Pocket Park will host the Kid Zone, where children can enjoy face painting, giant bubbles, lawn games, and story time with Flyleaf the Book Fairy. Leverington Cemetery will offer historical tours, and a mini car show will showcase vintage rides.
