The Dutch to Offer Oysters & Rosé Every Thursday

PHILADELPHIA - The Dutch, the popular breakfast-through-dinner eatery with a focus on reinventing the Pennsylvania Dutch classics along with a few fine dining "Fond" favorites at dinner, is bringing back a fan-favorite pairing from its Fond days just in time for warmer temps and patio season, with the re-launch of Oysters & Rose on Thursday, April 6.

The bar and patio overlooking East Passyunk Avenue are now open from 5pm to 9pm. Diners can enjoy half a dozen oysters and a glass of sparkling rose, in addition to browsing the highly-seasonal The Dutch After Dark tasting list.

Before moving The Dutch from his Fond location on East Passyunk Avenue to his renowned Fond location, Chef Lee Styer, along with his team, marked the beginning of warm-weather season with Oysters and Rose Thursdays. The Dutch is now following their lead. The iconic pairing will be available for $20 per person and includes a half dozen oysters with a glass sparkling rose. This special will be offered every Thursday at dinner during the spring and summer months.

The Dutch will continue its popular prix fixe menu. This includes a revamp of its After Dark experience, which is $60 per person (optional pairing +$18), and a selection of three courses from Chef-Owners Lee Styer & Kevin Watters. The current offerings include Roasted Cauliflowerwith almonds, saffron Greek yogurt and black currants; Choucroutewhich includes bratwurst and pork belly as well as confit cabbage, whole grain mustard, confit potatoes, whole grain sauerkraut, confit vegetables, and whole grains mustard; and Meyer lemon Parfaitwith shortbread and pomegranate and whipped crème fraiche.

Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday, 8am to 3pm; Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 2pm (brunch services), and Wednesday and Thursday at 5 and 9pm. Friday and Saturday are 5 and 10 pm; Friday and Saturday are 5 and 10pm. Sunday is 5 and 9 pm (dinner service).
