PHILADEPHIA, PA - Philly's Love of Insomnia Cookies took a page from Willy Wonka's book when it opened a special shop for its delicious cookies. Not only does the store sell some of the city's most addictive sweets, but it also offers a milkshake bar for those late-night cravings. If you're not familiar with the Insomnia CookieLab, the neo-traditional bakeshop is a must-visit if you're in the area.


South Philly's Insomnia Cookies CookieLab

Insomnia Cookies cookie's namesake, Seth Berkowitz, founded the company in his dorm room at the University of Pennsylvania. The new South Philadelphia storefront, named Insomnia CookieLab, also boasts a public cookie lab. Located across from Geno's Restaurant and Pat's Restaurant. The bakery is open until 2:00 a.m. on weekdays, and until 3 a.m. on weekends.

The new shop features a counter to the left of the cookie counter, which opens to a neon-lined hallway. The shop offers a variety of customizable cookies and other treats, including chocolate chip and peanut butter chips. Insomnia Cookies even serves milkshakes made from chocolate chips or other treats.
