Trash Talk IPA: A Beer as Bold as Philly Fans
Trash Talk IPA is no shrinking violet. This 6.5% ABV India Pale Ale is described as having "big hops and a bigger attitude," reflecting the legendary banter of Philadelphia sports enthusiasts. The flavor profile boasts bold, tropical notes of pineapple, balanced by a crisp, clean, and refreshing finish. Yards envision this as the perfect "game day essential," whether you're celebrating a win, questioning a referee's call, or showing off your Philly pride.
"Made By Phila": Yards' Hometown Commitment
Yards Brewing Company has always been deeply connected to Philadelphia, and Trash Talk IPA further expresses that connection. The brewery's "Made By Phila" mantra emphasizes that its beers are a product of the city's unique character—its art, music, culture, history, and, of course, its sports fandom. This beer is designed to resonate with Philadelphia's "grit and hustle."
Limited Release and Parade After-Party
Trash Talk IPA will be available in a minimal run. Only 100 cases of 12oz four-packs ($8.99) will be released at the Yards taproom (500 Spring Garden Street) starting at 11:30 AM on Thursday, February 13th. Yards is holding back at least 10 cases for Friday's Super Bowl Parade After-Party and Happy Hour (3:00 - 6:00 PM). Friday's celebration will feature drink specials ($6 select 20oz beers, $8 cocktails and wine) and food specials, including Hummus Plates, IPA Pretzels, Bricklayer's Nachos, cheesesteak egg rolls, and their "Philly Wing Pounders." Wearing green is highly encouraged.
Tom Kehoe's Toast to Philly
"Trash Talk IPA is a beer made for this city, built on its determination, passion, and love for the game," said Yards Co-Founder Tom Kehoe. He emphasized that the timing of the release is perfect, allowing fans to "raise a can to our city, our team, and our time" during the parade celebrations.
Trash Talk IPA is more than just a new beer; it celebrates Philadelphia, its sports fans, and the Eagles' Super Bowl victory. This limited-edition brew from Yards Brewing Company will surely be a collector's item and a must-try for any Philly beer lover looking to toast the Birds' championship in true Philadelphia style.
