Founders Emily Hyland and Matthew Hyland improvised the restaurant to raise the bar on Detroit-style pizza, combining crispy cheese borders and light, airy dough for an unmatched experience. While the burger and pizza are the stars here, you can also find salads and sandwiches to round out your meal.

The restaurant first opened in Brooklyn in 2012. Since then, it has expanded to Queen Village Philadelphia and even the Upper East Side in New York. It has plans to expand to other cities, including Washington DC.

The newest location of Emmy Squared is located in the Queen Village section of Philadelphia. This New York-based restaurant specializes in crisp Detroit-style pan pizza and a double-stacked burger. It started out as a small neighborhood eatery and a passion project for Emily Hyland.
