Sharon Hill Pennsylvania

SHARON HILL - Sharon Hill is a borough located in the Delaware County region of Pennsylvania. As of the 2010 census, the population of the borough was 5,697. As of the current count, there are 6,356 residents living in the borough. The borough is home to many small businesses and several public schools.


The area of Sharon Hill is 0.77 square miles or 2.0 square kilometers. It is comprised primarily of land. In addition, the borough is home to several historical buildings and a public library. The library is open to the public and hosts several programs and events. The local community is also well-represented in the world of sports. The Sharon Hill Borough Council recently presented Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren with a key to the borough.

Founded in 1890, the borough of Sharon Hill is located six miles west of Philadelphia. It has a population of about 6,400 people and excellent access to public transportation with SEPTA's 102 Trolley. The area was largely undeveloped until the early nineteenth century. Before this time, the area was a series of farms and small homes.
