James Beard Award semi-finalist Chef Christopher Kearse is no stranger to crafting a unique, French-forward menu with a twist, using seasonal, high-quality ingredients at his acclaimed restaurant Forsythia, since its opening in 2019. When asked by fellow Philadelphia-based Chefs Michael and Angie Sultan if he’d be interested in a takeover event at their flourishing South Philadelphia bar and restaurant, Chef Kearse happily obliged and began composing a menu melding the flavors of France and Japan into each and every dish.
