Building on last year's immense success that drew tens of thousands to the Delaware River banks, this year's series promises even more dazzle, most notably with a brand new, season-long synchronized drone show accompanying the beloved fireworks display.
Starting Friday, May 16th, 2025, and continuing on the first Friday of each month through September (with July's event on the 11th), this family-friendly extravaganza is free and open to all. Each event date will feature:
- A breathtaking fireworks display over the Delaware River.
- A new, cutting-edge synchronized drone light show, adding a high-tech twist to the aerial spectacle.
- A vibrant First Friday Summer Series Block Party on Stockton Avenue (between Bridge and Ferry streets) from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
The block party will transform Stockton Avenue (closed to vehicles from 2:00 PM) into a pedestrian paradise with live music, local artists and crafters selling their wares, live art demonstrations with New Hope Arts, and delicious food from Italian Cucina, among other festivities.
The May 16th kickoff is timed to coincide with New Hope Celebrates Pride week, adding an extra layer of celebration to the inaugural event. The fireworks and drone show on May 16th will begin at approximately 9:10 PM, with future shows typically starting between 9:00 PM and 9:15 PM (confirm times on social media on the day of the event).
