The PMA Craft Show weekend kicked off on November 2 with a festive Preview Party Gala. Guests enjoyed a cocktail buffet, got an exclusive first look at this year’s artist, and participated in the annual artist awards ceremony. The ten artists and their categories awarded at the ceremony include Carson Sio (Best of Show), Robert Farrell (The Eric Berg Memorial Prize for Excellence in Metal), Tyler MacDonald (The Louise K. Binswanger Prize for Best Artist New to the Show), Ann Klem (The Cohn Family Trust Prize for Excellence in Glass), Francisco and Laura Bautista (The Prize for Excellence in Fiber Art), Thomas Harris (The Jane and Leonard Korman Family Prize for Excellence in Clay), Audrey Jung (The Carolyn Benesh Ornament Magazine Prize for Excellence in Art to Wear), Joshua Vogel (The Levitties Family Prize for Excellence in Design), Geoffrey Giles (The Prize for Excellence in Jewelry), and Brad Smith (The Wharton Esherick Museum Prize for Excellence in Wood).
On November 3, the Craft Show opened its doors to hundreds of eager guests waiting to shop and connect with this year’s artists. The event provided a unique space for mingling, where artists shared their creative journeys and techniques with an eager audience and guests celebrated craft art's timeless beauty and cultural significance. As the event ended, the bond between artists and attendees grew stronger.
"This year's craft show has far exceeded our expectations," said Nancy O’Meara, Show Manager of the PMA Craft Show. "We're already looking forward to making next year's event even more spectacular."
