The New Hope Holiday Parade Returns
The annual New Hope Holiday Parade is set to return on Sunday, December 7, 2025, starting at 4:00 PM. The parade will bring festive magic, floats, and seasonal cheer as it travels from New Hope-Solebury High School down South Main Street and Bridge Street.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to arrive early to shop and dine along the vibrant streets before securing a cozy spot along the route for this family-friendly community tradition.
Featured Parade Highlights:
- Festive Performers: Look for traditional Bagpipers, the unique appearance of the Mummers, and the main attraction, Santa & Mrs. Claus.
- Community Spirit: The parade showcases a joyful lineup of local groups, including various Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops, Solebury Baseball & Softball, Cheer Philadelphia, and the Middle School Holiday Singers.
- Dignitaries: Elected officials, including Representative Brennan and Senator Santarsiero, will participate in the procession.
"Each year, the Holiday Parade adds to why New Hope is such a special place," said Michael Sklar, President of the Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce. "We’re excited to continue the holiday season with a celebration that brings joy to our entire community.”
Stress-Free Shopping with Free Parking
In a major move to support local businesses and make holiday shopping easier, New Hope Borough has approved a free parking initiative for the final shopping days of the year.
The Borough will waive parking fees in all Borough-managed public parking spaces (kiosk system and ParkMobile) during two critical windows:
- December 22 through December 25
- December 29 through January 1
“New Hope is known for a lot of things, great food, great views, great shopping and parking tickets,” joked Chamber President Michael Sklar. “So this year, we’re giving visitors something truly magical: free parking. No stress, no countdown timers, just holiday cheer.”
Visitors are encouraged to take advantage of this no-charge parking to stroll through the historic streets, discover independently owned shops, and enjoy the dining options available in New Hope’s walkable downtown.
Note: The free parking applies only to Borough-managed spaces; private parking lots are excluded from the waiver.
